The 3 day exhibition on processed foods, technologies & services, Food & Technology Expo-2007 was formally inaugurated by Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Food Processing Industries (Independent Charge) Govt. of India on August 22, 2007 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Smt. Omwati Devi, Hon’ble Minister of state (I/c) for Khadi and Gramodyog, Govt. of U.P, was also kind enough to spare time from her busy schedule to visit the expo. She stayed for quite some time and visited various exhibition stalls. She also distributed prizes to the exhibitors who excelled in various parameters. Hon’ble Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Uttarakhand, Shri Harbans Kapoor, also graced the expo as Chief Guest.Shri Ramji Lal Suman, Senior Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Ex-Union Cabinet Minister, visited the expo and honoured the exhibitors by prsenting citations.

Many other senior government officials, CEOs, decision makers, buyers, sourcing personnel, technical experts, contractors, consultants, consumers etc also visited the expo.

Almost all the exhibitors at the Food & Technology Expo reported good business deals and were happy with the response. The Food & Technology Expo-2007 was also used as a Product Launch pad by many companies.
